Buying an OTG comes down to five questions: what you'll cook, how big it should be, whether you need convection and a rotisserie, whether your socket can take it, and how the warranty works. This guide answers each one using the 13 models on our OTG oven page, all rated 4★+ on Amazon with 100+ ratings and 100+ sold a month (checked 12 October 2026).

We haven't run hands-on tests. Specs and warranties come from the makers' Amazon listings; prices are from 12 October 2026.

1. Classic OTG or Air Fryer Oven?

Both bake, grill and toast. If baking for a family is the main job, a classic OTG gives you more space for the money: the iBELL 40L costs about ₹5,900, while the cheapest air fryer oven we list, the Faber 14L, costs about ₹5,500 for 14 L. If you mostly want crisp snacks, an air fryer oven such as the SOLARA 12L does that job directly.

Two air fryer ovens in our list also steam: the Ninja Combi and the Nutricook Steami X. They cost about ₹20,000–23,000.

2. What Size Do You Need?

Bajaj says its 16 L OTG suits 2–3 people. Beyond that, as a rough rule of thumb (not a maker figure):

PeopleSizeExamples in our list
1–312–16 LBajaj 1603T (16 L), SOLARA and AGARO air fryer ovens (12 L)
3–425–30 LiBELL 25L, iBELL 30L steel
4–635–40 LGlen 35L, iBELL 40L

Measure your counter as well. The Bajaj 16 L is 40 cm wide, the Glen 35 L is 52 cm and the iBELL 50 L is 57 cm. Leave room around the sides and top, because the outside gets hot.

3. Convection Fan and Rotisserie: Worth It?

A convection fan moves hot air around the cavity, so cakes and biscuits brown more evenly and you rotate trays less. A motorised rotisserie turns a whole chicken or kebab skewers as they grill.

In our list:

  • Both: Glen 35L, iBELL 30L, iBELL 40L, iBELL 50L, and the Bajaj 1603T according to its listing.
  • Rotisserie but no listed convection fan: iBELL 25L.
  • Air fryer ovens with a rotisserie: SOLARA 12L, AGARO Regency and Faber FAO 25L. Every air fryer oven circulates air with a fan by design.

If you bake more than once a month, convection is worth having, and in our list it costs little extra: the Glen 35L with convection is about ₹1,200 more than the iBELL 25L without it.

4. Temperature Range

Most baking happens at 160–200°C, which every oven we list covers. The top end matters for pizza and grilling:

ModelRange, per the listing
iBELL 25L, Bajaj 1603TUp to 250°C
Glen 35L, Faber FAO 25L, Faber CrispX Pro 14, Nutricook Steami XUp to 230°C
AGARO Regency80–220°C

The Nutricook also goes down to 40°C, which suits proving dough.

5. Power, Sockets and Running Cost

The ovens we list are rated 1200–2200 W. Plug them into a 15A/16A wall socket, not a thin extension board.

Running cost depends on how long the elements are actually on, because the thermostat switches them on and off. As an upper limit, a 1600 W oven running at full power for 30 minutes uses 0.8 units, about ₹5–6 at ₹6–8 a unit; a 2000 W oven for the same time uses up to 1 unit. Preheating for about 10 minutes adds to that.

6. The Warranty Catch

ModelWarranty, per the listing
Glen 35L, Bajaj 1603T, AGARO Regency, Ninja Combi, Faber 20L, Nutricook Steami X2 years
iBELL (25L, 30L, 40L, 50L)1 year, plus 1 more only if you register within 30 days
SOLARA 12L1 year
Faber FAO 25L, Faber CrispX Pro 14Not stated

If you buy an iBELL, register it the day it arrives.
