The Trade-Off That Defines This Budget
Baffle filters use angled steel plates that force air to change direction, throwing oil out of the airstream. They cope with oily Indian cooking better than flat mesh (cassette) filters, but they need washing every few weeks with daily frying, and suction drops when they're neglected.
